Acting Vicar
Acting Vicar:
Revd. Stephen Hunter
Stephen was ordained in 2004 and returned after theological training to All Saints to serve his title post and to become Associate Vicar. Following the departure of the former incumbent Stephen was invited to become Acting Vicar to ensure the smooth running of the parish during the interregnum.
He is also the Bishop of Sheffield’s adviser for Self-Supporting Ministry (self-supporting clergy do not receive a stipend (salary) from the Church). As Bishop’s Adviser he is involved in the policy and implementation of all aspects of self-supporting ministry including recruitment, selection, training and deployment of those who feel a call of God on their lives for this particular kind of ordained ministry.
Stephen has a background in business and the public sector and currently serves on a number of charitable trusts, an educational foundation and as a magistrate on the Sheffield bench.
He has a graduate diploma in applied theology and an MA in business management. He is married with a grown-up family.
