The Windows

 

The stained glass windows of Ecclesall church are one of its most impressive features: with few exceptions they were added to the church between 1910 and 1930. Most of the windows installed after 1908 were designed and manufactured by the Kempe/Tower company. About 35 windows in the church include stained glass.

It is possible to walk round the inside of the church to view all the windows – but there would be no continuity in the topics represented in the windows. This guide requires you to move around and across the church but it shows how the gospel message and the spread of the gospel are illustrated by the stained glass in the church. Relevant verses from the Bible have been included in the notes.
